Keith needs to make things, for many years he worked with wood, designing and making furniture. He completed a course in Design Crafts (glass, ceramics and fine metals). He became fascinated by the inherent qualities of these materials, the feeling of clay and its limitless potential, and the fantastic transmitting qualities of glass.
Nature is the source of inspiration for his work. He starts by careful drawing and printmaking which lead to a journey of exploration. He then produces maquettes of possible forms. Sensitivity to the properties of the materials guide the design.
Keith loves the sense of losing himself in the process and the pleasure and accomplishment that comes from creating beautiful objects with the power to inspire the imagination.
