Sally is a painter, illustrator and well known cartoonist for many years for the Daily Mail’s astrologer, Jonathan Cainer.  Sally’s work derives from a strong design and drawing ethic and love of all media, creating diversity of style with a passion for colour. Central to her cartoon work is her love and discipline of life drawing, which she sees as the beginning of all looking and learning to see.

“No ‘shorthand’ or economy of line can be developed without serious understanding of how drawing shape and form works”.

Sally is a passionate and inspiring teacher believing that all students with a thirst to draw can learn, as well as tune into their own stream of creativity.

Sally’s work has been regularly hung in the Pastel Society Show at the Mall Galleries, London, as well as the RBA and at the well known NRA Summer Show at the Llewellyn Gallery, London. After many years in London, Sally now lives and works in South Devon where she exhibits, teaches and demonstrates techniques.
